Welcome to the 30th Infantry Division Website!

Welcome to the 30th Infantry Division Informational Website!

The purpose of this website is three-fold:
1: The first goal is to provide information about the 30th Infantry Division and it's role in World War Two.
2: The second goal is to provide information about the Old Hickory Association, the premier Living History group dedicated to promote public awareness about the 30th ID & WWII and the people who served in it.
3: The third goal is to provide information about reenacting as a whole. This will include detailed information about the weapons used, uniforms worn, and how soldiers lived.

The following menu items already have a wealth of information already. Please take the time to look over them, and if you have any comments, please post them on the Forums.

30th Basic History - A basic overview of the history of the 30th Infantry Division, specifically for WW2.
Old Hickory Chronicles - Eventually, this will have download able copies of all the Old Hickory Chronicles ever issued. Currently it has a partial, but growing selection.
Soldier's Uniforms - A menu to learn about the Uniforms, and Gear of World War Two. This includes information about the types of uniforms and gear, and information about specific items as well.
WWII Weapons - A place that has information, pictures, and videos about each weapon that would have been carried by soldiers.
Forums-A place to talk about reenacting, displays, WWII history, etc. Please post website comments there.
Web Links - A listing of helpful and common links for all users.

Coming Soon:
-Photo Gallery
-Stars and Stripes - Pending approval, I hope to start with a selection of news clippings from the Stars and Stripes from Dec. 1944 to Jan. 1945, I hope to later expand and have cover pages from most copies issued during WWII.
